Moving On

My heart is wrapped, tightly,

by layers and layers of tape.

And to cut through it, tritely,

my heart will also be scraped.

But if the tape stays,

my heart can't beat properly.

It's not just a phase,

he left his imprints permanently.

Staying hurts.

Letting go also hurts.
