Autumn Ivory

Autumn Ivory.

Time kissed me and held me with its autumn hands.

Not healing, but stealing.

Striping away, stripping away,

tearing apart,

back to water,

carbon, mineral,

nutrients.

Headaches. sleepless.

still.

Digesting my essence,

blowing me up,

breaking down.

There was no comfort.

My world tilted,

and my days fell asleep quickly.

The light left my eyes.

Halt.

Exposing my yellow

turned me ****** Mary.

I retreated,

I hibernated in my rocky cocoon.

A constellation of worms,

a galaxy.

Finally,

a chest of Ivory.
