I Hope You Are Happy

by WordWatcher

I hope you are happy I sincerely mean that. I hope you are content That you feel confident and secure in your life I hope your work brings you fulfillment And when you return home at the end of the day You can reflect on time well spent A life well lived And you are at peace with your choices. I hope nobody ever makes you feel the way you did to me Eroded, worthless, stupid and dull. I hope you never return home at the end of the day to cry more tears into trustworthy pillows To experience self-doubt until you know longer  know yourself And the fear invades every moment of your life I hope you never fear leaving your home Sanctuary Lest you meet the person who does this to you suddenly on the street And the thoughts in your head could become words in your face I hope you never experience the anger of being minimized And the terror - that if you are right? Perhaps I am worthless Useless A burden to all I hope you never experience the feeling where every new day becomes the worst of your life Where family, friends bear the brunt of sadness Fear Insecurity I hope you never feel sick at the dawn of every day Knowing that someone like you will find new ways of causing hurt. The only thing making me feel more sick than having to face you Is the thought that one human can do this to another. I will not allow your bullying turn me into you And so I hope you are happy I sincerely hope you are happy
