She stood in the kitchen
Heels together, wearing all black
Her favorite color
I cannot stop from grinning
Butterflies every time
But the winter changed us
“Does it matter?” she snaps
Her voice is cold
I wish I knew then
That she was already gone
And she would take the floor from beneath my feet
Between love and frustration
Between sorrow and joy
There she remains in my heart
