The Fox

Red fur glints 'twixt trees galore Above, a flight of swallows soar As they fly deftly through the skies Singing their sweet melodic sighs, The fox moves lithely through the bones Of white birch trees and ancient stones, Weaving his way through the maze ahead Strolling where few have dared to tread Green leaves blot out sun and sky While crows on branches perch to spy So shy a beast that roams alone, The only way it's ever known
