Drowning light

by randell-quitain

a candle is lit; ignited from angst, malicious eyes are set, challenging the fire. curious eyes; tries to kill it; with, puff; this time around, puff; they're so sure, nope; they won't bother, to read their lips. soon it will be felt, when skin meets embers; trying to drown the light, smoke between those eyes; sets the twilight, eyes are parched; late to learn, not to play with fire.
