I feel these words as they are close to my heart where words are stored. I do believe men are women's problem. That's why it's called menopause. They take your heart and in later years walk upon it leaving your soul in the dirt. When we get older, they no longer see us. I've become transparent. Love your words ;-]

Wow Julia! The aliteration in this thuds like a fluttering heartbeat that has carried too much. That sinking deep chest feel. This poem is poignant and beautiful. I even like that you kept the "i"s lowercased - Those things come when you write from your soul -Like a quiet whisper lighting up silence in a dark room.
