Lonely Words

My words are lonely Hunkered in the dark Upon the lines to which they are drawn Loving words Observant words Written in gold and in blood Dismissed and denied Made refuse among the files Scared and broken Paled by the shadows Made blind by absent light My words are left to fade How I wish You could feel and love My words like I mean them.
