Cyclic Unrequitions

by hsv

Hearing a no, isn't the hard part Walking alone, missing her suns just burning within, isn't the hard part Letting everything go, your self and your hopes, and smoky memory of those hopes Snapping vines of togetherness, entwining the bleeding heart, those aren't the hard parts Looking into her eyes, which flicker with tentative tears Knowing, that hells worse than mine, her gashed heart wails Far truer, far purer, humbling my love poems, into wisps of nothingness Her every tear, tears across me Hoping her smiles return, on a waft of wind, that forever sails her apart - That is the hard part
