ex

choose me, love me

did i ever love you?

were you just a game

for me to lose against myself?

i fell in love with the thought of you

the spare bits of attention you fed me

like you feed a dog scraps from dinner

i overlooked your laziness

your boringness,

your arrogance,

beacuse i was simply amazed

that someone had picked me.

he chose me, he loved me

or did he ever?

were we just a game we both lost?
