Bus Stop Blues

I sat alone Waiting for you Morning much colder than stone Sky still turning blue My breath came in clouds And hung in the air Time passed And you still weren't there Smoke rises in curls Perfectly formed swirls Even flowers die I wish I knew why Because we live in a world so fast Nothing beautiful will last Golden leaves fall to the ground You left me waiting to be found Don't think you will last forever It has never been done You think you're standing in the light Then down goes the sun
