O' Husky Angel

by M_Grant_Teague

O’ husky angel with new wings, I long for you. You ascended in a flash. Leaving chasms behind. Our eyes are burning coals. Our tears are scorch marks. Our veins are tearing, Stretching, Reaching, for heaven. My heart is in turmoil, I know not what we were. More than brother More than friend An (almost) lover An (almost) partner This deepest and searing loss With pain sharp and unyielding. O’ husky angel with new wings, We had more than most, A love like no other But as real as another. I would never seek to steal your peace, But find resentment against those wings.
