The Queen Bee-trayal

by @drifton-a-way

I'd fly countless miles just to get a single taste I'd die amidst my trials my time is mine to waste They could bottle your saliva,so naturally sweet In your presence, I'm so minor, so very obsolete I'm nothing but a drone, with a dream to chase You're so widely known, me, you could replace Addicted,I am prone to maintain this frantic pace And I will fly alone, for just one glimpse at your face She'll bee the queen for years to come Right until the kingdom comes undone My wings are worn down and depleted As my soul is torn down and defeated I've hatched a plan to infiltrate the hive As fast as I can I will commence to dive Kamikaze madness, never felt more alive Pollinate thy queen, only way to survive The birds shall sing as the flowers bloom That day I was king, my bride, her groom A last fateful sting, as I crawl to my tomb Thy future will bring, sake of my name soon And now that it's almost time for bed I'll let you know what the epitaph read "Dreams will blind your eyes to see Here lies my story, now let me bee"

A cautionary tale to all moths  and butterflies alike.. your wings shall succumb to the flames all the same.
