Birds and Bees

And some day when I sit, content in my rocking chair Watching life soar by, I'll look to my side and see my world taking it's time Reading a book enjoying a cool summers Breeze and my world will look up from that book "What is wrong?" but I'll have no reply For While I watch life soar by I'll hear a whisper in my ear. We've had a great run, Enjoy the birds and the bees. Leave the rest up to me, You're in the best of company. I'll just nod and agree. To my world,  I will say "Nothing.  It's just beautiful today Watching the birds fly away And the bees noisily play. I'm in great company, Just listening to cars zooming by Watching my life like a movie It's happy ending so sweet. I see a girl and a boy, well evolved in years. They look so happy on that cool summer's Eve. Her reading a book, Him rocking peacefully."
