Strawberries

Whispers of this moonlight Peeking through my window— That late night... And sang a song about strawberries— Comparing you with that fruit so bright. Fingers played and the piano hummed. Strings carried your tune like forever. My distracted attention Shunted me out— I came back to— walking and waiting— Basking beneath the sun
