drugged poem

I wish I was a cigarette,

to be adored,

to be drawn in.

to be searched for to the point where the person goes mad.

I wish I was a smoker,

to crave something so painfully bad,

to want something so much I can't stand it,

to finally find it and enjoy it so much it becomes my lifestyle.

I wish I was the addiction,

to be wanted,

to be craved,

to be loved so much that they need it as if I was vital.

but then all things must come to an end,

where life meets its final breath,

and death meets its new contestant.
