Stormy Weather

When there's nothing left to say--

What remains is silence

And through the silence, the wind is gathering up a storm

But like all storms, it will blow over land and sea

And return to stillness until she sings her next song

It's as if autumn has returned to visit the maiden of spring

In the depth of my heart, only blithsomeness doth she bring...

Not all folk are as fortunate as I, thus gratitude is given voice

Some sisters and brothers are sleeping rough, without a choice...

O, mover of the wind, pray, whisper words of solace to all in need

Leave not one wounded heart, alone, and left to bleed mournfully

Solitude writes soliloquies on the mortal side of the great divide

Until the fragility of this earthly vessel transitions to the other side...

O, winds of time, thank you for your brief visitation

All is still, but for the midnight rain bathing my weathered face

Whilst bowing unto the heart, the timeless sanctuary of Grace...

Gale-force winds arrived without announcement

Even blowing the refuse bins into the street

Then all fell still
