Letting Go

Chewing on it,

like a dog chews on an old bone.

Disgusted, drooling.

It hurts you too, you know,

to bite the hand that is feeding you.

Or fed.

Don’t be so stuck in the past,

please.

No one is no one.

I have wished you joy

since the first time I saw you.

Drums,

drums in the deep.
