An Isolated Memorial to Runaway Love

It was a radiant May, The rare kind where the wind is still and the earth softly glows That's when I held you , on that fine day In the field, forgetting all obstacles , all my flaws As you were mine, safe, head against chest No rules, no regulations, no test Just a bond between two people , human flesh intertwined I prayed to myself you would always remain mine But such is life, a cruel hard fate You left as your gaze drifted upon another man His name was Mike I recall ,he was tall dark and tanned So here I am a lonely ,unchained soul In this world of misery sadness and woe
