SUPPLICATION

God of all hope and creation

Is there nothing you can do for

We who stand by sadly watching

All that you have made for us

Be now destroyed by avarice and greed

You who held the sun in place for days

And parted seas to aid escaping

Can you not now find a way

To stop the evil-doers as they rage

Destroying all the beauty that you made.

Lord of Heaven and of Earth

Is there no hope for we the Godly

Are we to perish in Gamorrah

With the horde of Satan’s band

Or will we find a place to hide

You who drowned the wrongness once

Yet saved the basis for new life

Could you in your tenderness

Save your children from the fire

That you promised us will come.
