Poetry Is A Cruel Lover

It breaks your heart, then places a pen in your trembling hand and asks you to make something beautiful of the wreckage. It teaches you how to bleed in verses, how to turn longing into metaphors, how to make a home out of things you've lost. And somehow, through tears, through silence, through all the pieces that never found their way back together, I do.
