Lover

I’m sorry, I can’t seem To write about you, love Believe me, I’ve tried It always comes up short But I think I’ve solved The root, evil cause When it comes to us I’m an unyielding wall If every other subject Is an open heart laid bare For you I come up empty And unwilling to share Not on a piece of paper Or on a glowing screen Apart from all the others You just belong to me
