NARROWLY

Fondly Unfamiliar

Baste me

Until I’m moist

And ready to roam

More common

Then not for me

The crows come to feast

In related news

Fork in the

Roads narrowing in

Peddling slower

My individuality is

Thoroughly drenched

Filter

Out the quagmire

And mop up all the clutter

Slightly able

To withstand it for now

Functionality’s stunned

Casually watching

As my time piece

Slows to a flicker

The glass mirrors in my

Hourglass crack

As they stumble to keep up

Beside me

Stuck In a game

Of inches

One wrong move

Could sway the scales Overboard

Skimming

The surface as the grains

Of sand harden in

On my location

Peaking my

Weary head outta my

Tomb

Scouring for a

Sliver of divine light

A slice of hope

Worth holding onto

There’s a impasse

Heeding on my compass

Narrowly am I going

Through the motions in tact

When I’d rather not admit

What’s truly troubling me

Deeply like the stumbling blocks

I can’t seem to dodge
