Apathy

by @sam9w

What's that word? When something happens, and it's not even that you go numb, just        empty, the way                nothing matters, and the only emotion is                                             I don't care... I suppose it's apathy, isn't it. There was a character once, from some movie, said: I have a burning apathy for ... Well, for something, I don't remember what. But it wasn't really apathy, was it? Not if it's burning. Burning, like love, and lust, like sadness, and anger, with feeling and emotion. I have apathy for more than just a few things in life, But it's not a 'burning apathy'. No. Just, a simple, normal, emptiness. The kind you're supposed to stay away from. Because it's sort of addicting, you know, *the *not feeling anything part.
