Where are you, heart of mine?

Where are you, heart of mine? And what’s the distance

That separates my humble self from you?

What are you doing? And, for instance,

What thoughts attend out of the blue

The precious head of yours? Am I among them?

Nod if that’s right, shrug shoulders if that’s not.

My dear, I can’t stand much longer

Not seeing you, for it's by you I'm caught.
