Mother

Peer through the cracked bedroom door, out streams Peaches of light, that shape wispy shadows on the Walls, brief reflections of the many desperate fights. See the canopy of the television glowing on your Children’s defeated faces; they’ve been baring Deceitful promises of ever reaching better places. Watch the smoke climb the wall, a lit cigarette Dragged into your aging mouth, we notice Now the little space left in this big, empty house.
