Acid Heart

by MessageintheSky

My mind has become a swirl of constant, running fear Everything feels like too much, no matter how simple it should be, And every thought of the future feels too large, dinner is daunting Tomorrow swallows my heart and bathes it in acid so it recoils My chest hasn't felt right since, always bubbling and boiling Thoughts rising in the steam to cover my nostrils in the stench For all I smell anymore is fear, my own and all around me We don't know what else to feel, unless we simply go numb.
