to the girl across the sea

to the girl across the sea

I see you standing there

where the waves still smell like salt

and the wind still feels like the night we first met

and the moonlight shines on your freckled face

reflecting on your light red marks upon your arm

I can hear your song

like a siren far away

but I want to go closer across the sea

to find you

I can see your blue hair blow

on this night so dark yet so bright

you stand still

and you smile

its not a real smile

but it was the smile I used in the mirror every morning

the sea still echos your name

"iris"

"I still love you"
