Lonely Together

by dusknightshade

I remember the feeling all those years ago It was relief It was cool It was freedom It was a a breath of fresh air I haven't had in a long time Many years later and it is engrained in my mind Like a movie I could watch every day of my life All of this and yet, it is still locked up tight. Never to be heard by a fellow human ear. The truth that is. They have heard variations of it, but never the entire truth. Oh what they would do if that got out. Oh my, oh my If the gate is loose, never let it go wide open. Here, We admire those with a few screws loose, those who are a bit mad, those who are lost in a fairytale. Why? Because they are the ones that understand the feeling. They are the ones who have also experienced the cool sensation They are the ones that have also kept it locked away Now look who it is My, look at the time. It's a gathering of the mind, can you make it? I think not. For only those who've solved the clues and sang the blues; can find the doormouse who holds the key.

A united feeling that a select few have based on shared experiences that are kept locked away from the world.
