Respect for tension,
An elastic band not to mention,
Within a snap there is no expansion,
There remains a memory waiting for retention.
I wait outside the room with blistering lights,
There comes a person, a someone
Someone I could ask for advice,
I ask and the silence breathes longer than one.
Each second I brace myself for the impact,
Every hour feels like years trying to stay intact,
I hold the glass but keep the water back,
The mind contracts before they could even react.
I leave the room carrying the question of a shadow,
The answers from behind told me to be loud and follow,
I left with the weight of answers I never heard,
And came back again for seconds and thirds.
