William B.

by @ella-gwen

You sleep in the room next time mine As I write this; eyes closed and body slumped Heaven in the small things Like the soft sigh of breath, eyelids flutter Lost unto a world I cannot inhabit Nearer now than you have been in weeks But oceans still separate us Turmoil of both hidden in such delicate shells Harder on the inside, withstanding the constant artillery Of our pain; united in the instance which will forever keep us apart.
