Father of Mine

Father of mine,

My soul is thine.

I’ll walk close to this path,

While drowning in society's bath.

As I live through these seasons,

I try to think of any reasons

To avoid, reject, and abuse

This struggling thought of you.

Father of mine,

I’m trying to make my soul thine.

For there to be any chance,

Just for me to get a glance,

I have to risk,

And be okay dealing with

The most insensitivity known to date

Just to see Heaven’s Earthless gate.
