Grateful heart

by JunLit

Early morning quarrels in the neighborhood drowned occasionally by the “vroom” of rushing motorcycles and honks of other vehicles ganging up their way, trying to beat red lights. I am here - The earth’s lips are sealed but the human world is as listless and as fast as the people move – about I am here - in no park not with manicured grass cover nor sculptured topiaries – not in some remote place all to my own – just quiet in a small corner where I can still breathe some assuring air and sit silently just listening to nothing else but my heart, with my tired eyes close, my old heart gratefully chanting, just cheering for this beautiful day: another one I woke up to, another lease to enjoy with my love true, another precious gift. Thank you!
