CANVAS FACE

Little Blue woke me up

with a mischievous smile.

“You are looking so beautiful

this morning,” it said.

“What happened to you?” I asked.

“Did you drink something other than ink,

or do you just want a treat?”

“Just ink,” it replied.

“Now, go and look in the mirror.”

So I looked, and guess what?

My face was painted

In black, blue, and green ink.

Annoyed, I asked:

“Why did you turn my face into a canvas?”

It just couldn’t stop laughing,

then it gave me a tight hug

and screamed:

“Happy Holi!”
