Because He First Loved Us

This work in me Lord, reflects only you.

Lord you take the old heart and make it new.

I once was a shell of a human being -

spiritually dead, needing redeeming.

You revealed yourself, knocking at my heart.

Gave me faith in your overflowing grace.

You instilled in me your holy spirit.

Your great love ended that once-endless pit.

I was unable to love on my own.

Now I love freely, to make your love known.

Trusting in your grace, every need sufficed.

Power at work that resurrected Christ!
