Fountain of Drought

Lending that look

to the other,

mouth full of gold

when it serves you.

Touches into stone

worthy your fantasies,

my misread lips

taken for granted.

Hunted prey

while I bleed,

tears in my eyes

for both you and me.

Short-lived stories

as you need them,

a long-term subtraction

past the equations.

Somewhere else

making you god,

with my trust and faith

left behind curtains.

Quick on your feet

for a french exit,

in cold silence

until next time.

A fountain of love

drained empty,

the drought of you—

all I amounted to.
