“first thaw”

But snow cannot hold. The thaw arrives, water rushing beneath ice, the ground breaking open, muddy, uncertain. Here is the test: love exposed, no longer hidden under purity’s veil. It is messy, it is raw, but it is real —roots pushing through the softened earth, seeking light. .
