Breaking Down Walls

The sweetest sadness in his smile Anyone can see he’s been hurting for awhile Who’d have thought a man on his own Could build walls so strong The softest pain behind his eyes You can tell he’s trying not to cry When I question what happened to you And he answers a love that wasn’t true I’ll make everything all right Until then I’ll just hold him tonight I’ll make everything all right Until then I’ll just hold him tonight And I’m sure that he’ll put up a fight Push me away with all of his might Even so in time I’ll break through Then maybe he can help me heal too I’ll make everything all right Until then I’ll just hold him tonight I’ll make everything all right Until then I’ll just hold him tonight Who’d have thought a man on his own Could build walls so strong
