Dreams fall Like drops of rain From clouds of naïve hope Hope crushed With brutal blows By the hands of revelation Revelation found In ancient stone Carved by sharpened truth Truth obscured With the erosive force Of standards, pressures and "the norm" Normality defined As if an ocean to a drop Of what one decides is right What is right? Unknown But ignorance leads To assumptions of pain
