The Father

He watched my first steps,

My first words,

My first relationship,

My first heartbreak,

My first drift,

My first everything.

He watched me when no one else did.

He will walk me down the aisle,

On my wedding day;

No matter what boy I choose to marry,

I will be loved.

Loved by my husband,

Whoever it may be,

And loved by God

For eternity.
