My Girl

"You don't need a soul" She says to me, so sweetly "Its only in your way" She whispers, oh so neatly My brain develops droughts As I go about my day These dark and deadly thoughts They leave me feeling gray But they way she calls my name At night when I'm in the grave Leaves me feeling whole But never feeling sane And though she comes to me at night I often feel her presence in the light Will she come to me again? Or will she leave me to my plight?
