You think that you are better

I have been waiting

To see you again

But then when I do,

I want it to end

You think that you're better

Than everyone else,

Because you have a good family,

And a big white house.

You never liked me,

Just liked the concept

You think that you're better,

Because you live with your family,

Not a stranger who took you in,

You think that you're better

Because the person who birthed you

Actually committed to love you

Because you have always known

That you will have food on the table,

And a family that is stable,

A roof above your head,

You think that you're better,

Because you have

A normal life

That you are blessed to live

This is a poem that honestly shares a little about my life. I am adopted, and a lot of other people act like they are better than me, because they live with their "real" family
