meet me in the city

when i sit still

and the world stops moving

and the music keeps playing

i melt into the ground

i become the earth, the soil, i travel

through the roots of the trees and the stems of the plants

i am carried in the pockets of bees along with pollen to visit the pedals of flowers

i journey through the water in the clouds and the rain in the rivers

and roll through the mountains and valleys

i follow the music through this still earth

running with pain and memory

i run to find to u

i cry to water the grass below my bare feet

kissed by the sun, memorized by u

and i dance over it, in the rain

kissed by god

who only exists because she made u again

she will bring me back to u

through the clouds and rivers

through the mountains and valleys

through the trees and flowers

she will bring u back to me

and we will dance barefoot in the grass together

kissed by god
