After All

It'll  catch me someday, It'll take me by the hand, Lead me onward on a strand of stars, That overlook my past. It'll have to run to get me Because I'll be living free. But when I tire and putter out of steam, I'll leave my flesh and bones, That's for the ground to keep. I'll let the light from my eyes shine away And the breath from my lungs fade Because I want to see it I want to find it. And I don't know if it's real, A place where I'll be, After all is gone and lost For miles to see. But if I finally make it I hope that you're all there With your arms wide and waiting. The most beautiful thing I'll ever see.
