WISDOM'S EDGE

*WISDOM'S EDGE

This season cuts me deep, not light,

From memories of past in Night,

I'm fated to be real, my old true form,

Yet turning into stagnant storm.

I'm locked inside a room of stone,

A prison cell where I'm alone,

I live like a fish where rivers moan,

Too small, too trapped, too far from home.

The time that once held love's warm tone,

Has changed to ice, to shattered bone,

The acts of some, through flesh and bone,

Now teach my heart the way of stone.

Days still crawl, the world has flown,

But I'm knee-deep in mud and groan,

Love it real or leave it be,

Wisdom's edge will set you free.
