Forget me
when you walk out into the sea
leave me within the trees
let your footsteps be washed away
so you don’t remember the way you came
let me slip from the tangles of your memory
touching moments that we shared
let them fall along side me
as we wash away and disappear into the depths
never to be thought again
forget me
like others have before you
I used to beg them to remember me
though I have learnt I deserve to not have to beg
so I don’t now
but as you dive into the waves
all I long to say, is
