Alleyways never visited again

Foolish 14, we were young

Awkward smiles that awkwardly hung

Foolish 14, and I didn't know you back then

So calling you 'handsome' became my thing

Feeling-full 15 then reached its point,

Ice cream, arcade, soccer...

The list of hangouts took its flight

15 was fun and never-ending

Your smile under the setting sun had its meaning

16, 17, 18, the time flew by

Every effort was made to stay by each other's side

And then came a blurred 19

Followed by a clear 20

And from then on, we are no longer together

The ice cream, the arcade, the soccer game,

The longer routes to home, and your nickname,

All of that is pushed back to the lane I don't let myself encounter

It's all in the alleyways that I don't visit any longer

The days were nice where youth danced in its peak,

But I'd rather turn around and walk away

Than to visit the same lane again
