The Vicious Rain

Watching as the earth cries.

A heavy downpour of vicious rain

Splatting down on the asphalt.

making everything wet

and cold

and dead.

A hefty, constant splatter

Like a never ending metronome

except never in time.

A roaring rainfall

soaking everything in its path

I have no shelter

and the vicious rain tries to

drown me

in its freezing depth.

But when we're together,

I know you'll make it feel like a lightweight sprinkle

The Vicious Rain.
