Reflection

Starting the day with a vision,

a body that finally feels like home,

while measuring yourself against others,

as if your life depends on it.

But the mirror only captures an instant,

not the long unfolding of who you are.

With every breath you choose to take,

another version of you begins to emerge.

Some mornings you feel closer

as if the dream you held at dawn

followed you into waking,

refusing to let go of your hand.

And even when you stumble,

when everything feels jagged and heavy,

there remains a quiet promise

resting in the stillness of morning:

you are still becoming.

you are still rising.

and one day, without noticing when it happened,

you will stand in your own reflection

and no longer search for something missing,

but recognize yourself as someone found.
