Manifesto

My longing runs deepest When I hear the baying Of that 3 a.m. train… People only write manifestos When they feel threatened And here is mine I won’t fall prey to the ways Of your fabricated stakes Filled with worry without warrant The path I walk will always be obscure But it is mine now
